Acceptable Use Policy

Guidelines for responsible use of VoltageGPU services

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of VoltageGPU's GPU cloud computing, AI inference, and related services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use VoltageGPU services for:

2.1 Illegal Activities

  • Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Distribution of illegal content or materials
  • Fraud, identity theft, or financial crimes
  • Money laundering or terrorist financing
  • Violation of export control laws

2.2 Harmful Content

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) - zero tolerance
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery
  • Content promoting violence or terrorism
  • Hate speech targeting protected groups
  • Harassment, bullying, or threats

2.3 Security Violations

  • Unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Distribution of malware, viruses, or ransomware
  • Phishing or social engineering attacks
  • DDoS attacks or network disruption
  • Vulnerability scanning without authorization
  • Circumventing security measures

2.4 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Copyright infringement
  • Trademark violations
  • Patent infringement
  • Trade secret misappropriation
  • Unauthorized use of proprietary AI models

4. Resource Usage

4.1 Fair Use

  • Use resources in accordance with your plan limits
  • Do not attempt to circumvent usage quotas
  • Do not resell or redistribute resources without authorization
  • Report any billing discrepancies promptly

4.2 System Integrity

  • Do not attempt to access other customers' resources
  • Do not interfere with platform operations
  • Do not exploit vulnerabilities in our systems
  • Report security issues through responsible disclosure

5. AI/ML Specific Guidelines

5.1 Responsible AI Use

  • Comply with AI model licenses and terms of use
  • Do not use AI to generate harmful or deceptive content
  • Implement appropriate safeguards for AI outputs
  • Disclose AI-generated content where required by law

5.2 Prohibited AI Applications

  • Deepfakes for deception or harassment
  • Automated disinformation campaigns
  • Surveillance systems targeting protected groups
  • Weapons development or autonomous weapons
  • Social scoring systems

6. Network & Communication

  • Do not send spam or unsolicited bulk messages
  • Do not operate open mail relays or proxies
  • Do not engage in port scanning or network probing
  • Do not forge headers or manipulate identifiers
  • Respect rate limits and API quotas

7. Data & Privacy

  • Comply with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Obtain necessary consents for personal data processing
  • Implement appropriate security measures for sensitive data
  • Do not collect or store data beyond what is necessary
  • Respect data subject rights

8. Enforcement

8.1 Violation Response

Upon detecting a violation, VoltageGPU may:

Warning

First minor violation

Suspension

Repeated or serious violations

Termination

Severe or illegal activities

8.2 Immediate Termination

The following will result in immediate account termination without warning:

  • CSAM or child exploitation content
  • Cryptocurrency mining
  • Active attacks on our infrastructure
  • Illegal activities
  • Severe security breaches

9. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it immediately:

10. Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may appeal by contacting appeals@voltagegpu.com within 30 days. Include:

  • Your account email
  • Description of the alleged violation
  • Your explanation or evidence
  • Steps taken to prevent future violations

11. Changes to This Policy

VoltageGPU reserves the right to modify this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email and posted on our website at least 30 days before taking effect.
